ABOUT REBECCA PIDGEON

Rebecca Pidgeon’s new album Slingshot, is due to hit stores November 8, 2011. Produced by multiple Grammy winner Larry Klein, ‘Get up Get Out,’ and ‘Disintegration Man’ are two of the new songs already being hailed by programmers at Sirius/XM Radio, and others.

Songs on the album also include “Kiss Me,” “Baby Please Come Home,” ”I Loved No-One” and “Searching For A Heart,” among others, with groundbreaking artists and songwriters such as Freedy Johnston, Timothy Bracy, Larry Klein and David Batteau co-writing songs with Rebecca on Slingshot.

Known for her compelling live performances, Rebecca will be hitting the road this summer and fall on a unique tour in partnership with the first-of-its-kind all-women wine company, Women Of The Vine, kicking off in Paso Robles, CA on May 26th. Over the years, she has shared the stage with numerous artists, including Aimee Mann, Peter Himmelman and Luciana Souza.

In the 1990s, Rebecca released a noted collection of alluring albums on Chesky Records. Praised for her instinctual ability to mesh styles, it wasn’t until her first full-blown collaboration with Larry Klein, on the playful nocturne Tough On Crime (2005), /and again on her highly regarded 2008 album, Behind the Velvet Curtain,/ that she begin to merge her captivating presence with character-driven songwriting.

A success in both film and music, Pidgeon recently drew rave reviews in the much-lauded movie Red, starring Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman. She also had a recurring role on the hit CBS television series,The Unit. As an actress, Pidgeon has garnered critical acclaim in film, TV, and theater. Rebecca co-wrote one of her new songs on Slingshot – the country-tinged ‘Baby Please Come Home,’- with her husband, writer/director/playwright David Mamet.
